Turiya Electric is a spiritual jazz project inspired by the great Alice Coltrane. 

 

Founded on the principle of global unification, Turiya Electric brings together an eclectic mix of New York–based international musicians, blending spiritual jazz, afrofunk, global rhythm, and electric improvisation into a dynamic and exciting live experience.

 

Drawing from artists such as Alice Coltrane, Jimi Hendrix, Idris Muhammad, Miles Davis, Sun Ra, Pharoah Sanders, Mulatu Astatke, Fela Kuti, Sons of Kemet, P-Funk,  the project layers music over a foundation of afro-rooted rhythms, creating a sound that is both expansive and deeply grounded.
